Family Dollar
The Boynton Beach Community Development Agency (CRA) hosted a groundbreaking celebration for the Family Dollar project Thursday, March 26, 2015 from 9 am-11 am located at the southeast corner of Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. and N. Seacrest Blvd. Representatives from Family Dollar and Boos Development along with local City and CRA officials celebrated the first commercial development project in the Heart of Boynton in over 40 years. Entry Signage
The CRA Board approved funding for the redesign and construction of the existing Boynton Beach entry signage and landscaped areas at the southern and northern Federal Highway corridors. The scope of work for the project was to focus on a new design image for the City and CRA District as well as provide landscaping and lighting enhancements at these sign locations.
Town Square
The City is embarking on determining the space needs for a new City Hall and the potential use for the Old High School. The Treasure Coast Regional Planning Council helped to develop a concept for redevelopment. The Town Square project encompasses 18 City-owned acres and is key in the redevelopment of downtown Boynton Beach. Some ideas for the area included a new City Hall, a renovated Old High School with civic uses, making the Library accessible to pedestrians and using the current City Hall site for a new mixed-used development.
500 Ocean Development Approved for Downtown Boynton Beach
This pivotal project received its development approvals on July 1st. It includes 341 apts., 13,300 sq. ft. of retail space and 6,600 sq. ft. of office. The CRA Board agreed to enter into a partnership the the developer, LeCesse to financially assist making the project meet the National Green Building Standard to lower carbon emissions and water usage.
