Seven residents chosen to be on redevelopment advisory board

The last of the seven members of the Boynton Beach Community Redevelopment Agency advisory board was chosen Tuesday night. Commissioner Mike Fitzpatrick, who was absent when the rest of the commissioners appointed the other six members, chose Paula Melley.
Melley is a Boynton resident and a consultant who runs Timeless Beauty Institute, according to city documents.
The other members are: Linda Cross: a Boynton resident and a retired CPA; James DeVoursney: a Boynton resident and physician; Brian Edwards: a Boynton resident who works in marketing and development; Thomas Murphy Jr.: a Boynton resident and a firefighter; Robert Pollock: Boynton resident who works at the U.S. Postal Service and is a retired Army veteran; Christina Romelus: A Boynton resident, adjunct professor, business owner, and is also running for District 3 commissioner in the 2016 March election.
The city received 10 applicants for the advisory board. The others who applied are: WM Todd Jackson; Genevieve Morris; and Edward Tedtmann, according to city records.
Advisory board members will make recommendations on programs, activities and funding issues affecting the CRA plan, according to city documents.
