The Boynton Beach City Commission has a lot to talk about tonight at their 6:30 p.m. meeting.
On the list:
– A 1,108-unit residential development known as Cortina to be built at Congress Avenue and Old Boynton Road. The project also includes a dog park, which would be Boynton Beach's first.
Here's the latest: Commissioners to vote on development
– Casa del Mar. After several months, the commission approved the project on first reading, but tonight will have to do a second and final approval for the project to happen.
Here's the latest: Gated waterfront community likely coming to Boynton's Federal Highway
– Town Square. The Treasure Coast Regional Planning Council was hired to create a plan to redevelop the area of City Hall, the police department, the Schoolhouse Children's Museum and Learning Center and many more buildings. The area also includes the old high school. The council is expected to present their latest recommendations to the commission.
Here's the latest: Boynton Beach town square report far from final
– Appoint someone to the Community Redevelopment Agency board. The seat occupied by former Mayor Woodrow Hay is up. Hay applied to be re-appointed. Other community members who applied: James Brake; Linda Cross; James DeVoursney; Steven Grant; Peter Jannis and Christina Romelus.
