The city commission voted at Tuesday’s meeting to formally ratify the 2012-2013 budget of the city’s Community Redevelopment Agency. The vote’s a formality; the CRA board is comprised of city commissioners plus two outside appointees. The CRA is expected to bring in $6.725 million in revenue in 2012-2013, down 12 percent from the $7.65 million collected in the past budget year. A big part of that is a 6 percent drop in tax revenue, which the agency attributes to enduring declines in city property values. To make up some of the missing $1 million, the CRA proposes to spend $25,000 in unused money from its emergency fund as well as $300,000 that had been in its general fund reserves
